Resume Tip of the Week #5

One day late….sigh…almost made it! Still, better a day late than never, right?

Here’s your tip of the week. Hope you find it useful.

You can drop any jobs you held longer than 15 years ago.

Now this one is a bit controversial, and there are all sorts of caveats to it that I won’t get into here. The important thing is that you know you can omit information after a certain point. So if you need to take up less space on a resume, or if your earlier jobs simply aren’t relevant anymore – go ahead and delete them. It’s unlikely that whatever you did in 1976 has much relevance today.

Good luck as always,

Sean
