Wouldn’t it be great if you could manage your job hunt and make money at the same time, all from the comfort of your terminal window.

We’ve been running a very successful job bounty program referral network and we realized the best way to interact with jobs might be programmatically from the command line, just like managing a calendar or a fantasy sports teams.

To test our hypothesis, we’ve launched a bare bones alpha version, checkout or follow the repository to get all the latest jobs from our public github repository at /zcor/githubjobs/

https://github.com/zcor/githubjobs/
Our current interface, we’d love your feedback on how to optimize this.

How does the bounty share work?

We don’t believe this repository will survive on just the novelty factor of a Github-based UX, so we’re including a basic business model into the process. We’re only going to work with jobs that can pay out a bounty on hire, which will be shared among the community.

  • We will require pull requests adhere to the structure in the README.txt
  • On successful pull request, we will generate a customized tracking URL for the job tied to your github account so you can track your metrics.
  • Once the job validates the repository will automatically update with the new job posting for the community to see.

Earnings and details will be tracked by registering at https://jobs.rezscore.com/redballoon as this concept is based on the MIT Red Balloon Experiment.

We are keeping the repository fully open so the community can easily share some ideas about what direction we can move the platform toward. There may be a better way to organize the directory structure around job function, for instance. Would love to hear your thoughts and questions, please email us ghjobs@onymail.com
