RezScore found some of the most ambitious job seekers from all around the country, enthusiastic hiring managers, and a notable guest speaker to hold its first ever virtual career fair amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The career fair opened with an introduction by RezScore’s founder, Gerrit Hall. From there, participants were split into breakout rooms where employers had the opportunity to interact with eager job seekers. In the main room, guest speaker Sam Feldman of Chart Your Own Path, who formerly worked at Google and TripAdvisor, spoke about the job search and gave tips on the career search.

Participants were able to ask questions and interact with the speaker in a panel discussion format.

“Hosting the virtual career fair on Zoom was easy to navigate and encouraged conversation,” — coordinator Michael Kostus.

Nearly a hundred registrants had the opportunity to mingle with hirers, gain some insight on successful job seeking, and expand their network. The focus of this job fair was on remote technology positions, attracting job seekers from top schools like MIT, Stanford, Columbia, UNC and more.

Ahead of the event, participants provided resumes and written interview questions. These were provided to all hirers ahead of time, along with the recommendations of RezScore’s industry leading algorithms. Our algorithms automatically combed through the resumes and interview responses to surface and schedule the best candidates, making the entire job fair efficient and easy for hirers.

Some notable hirers that attended the fair included Rupal Patel, founder of VocalID, and Charles Jo, Global Staffing Manager at Power Integrations.
