- Active language. “Responsible for X” is passive. “Achieved X, delivered Y, accelerated Z” shows agency.
- Achievements over responsibilities. Everyone knows the job description. Show what you did better than baseline.
- Specific numbers. “Improved efficiency” is vague. “Reduced errors by 23%” is proof.
These aren’t suggestions. They’re hard-coded rules that the AI must follow on every generation. The difference between “write me a resume” and a system that enforces tested principles is the difference between generic and genuine.
The #1 Thing Users Ask For Help With
We analyzed 496 user messages over a 14-day window. The most common struggle, by a wide margin, was this:
“How do I quantify my achievements?”
Users know that numbers matter. Every piece of resume advice says “quantify your impact.” But knowing that and actually doing it are different things.
“Providing numbers is hard, as I just graduated.”
“Can you help with the description detailing, actions taken and impact made?”
